Artist's Description
7-8 billion bottles of wine are produced throughout France every year. It is the source of many grape varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot noir and Syrah now planted throughout the world. The region of Alsace in northeastern France along the Rhine river produces mainly white wines, including my personal favorite is the Reisling. The vineyard captured in the image here is near the town of Colmar.
